Grace Church in the past 10 years plus has grown from 88 members to more than 231 total members! We love to invite everyone into God’s family at Grace! But…we learned a long time ago, that immediate, intimate small groups generally develop when large numbers of people gather. Expounding on this concept, we created various small groups to allow our members to grow spiritually with a close group of fellow believers and seekers.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: Each school year, all adults of GRC and any friends that walk through our doors are welcome to join us for Sunday School at 9:45 AM in the education wing or Fellowship Hall over refreshments. Various studies and series are offered throughout the year. No biblical background is required; all our welcome and newcomers are expected!
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY: From time to time the men of our church, along with several friends, embark on a seven-week study of the Bible. These study sessions focus on topics relevant to men and are usually held in the Education wing of the church. Please call the church or check the calendar for the next session. We would love to have you join us!
WOMEN OF JOY: Women of the church and community are invited to join together for support, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement each 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. Kelly Price facilitates this informal study that generally runs from 6:30-8:00 PM. The current series is entitled, “How to Live a Worry-Free Life,” helping participants reduce stress and anxiety in their lives and live in the peace and joy of Jesus. Refreshments follow each study. All welcome!
MONTHLY SMALL GROUPS: In addition to periodic weekly small group series, two to three different small groups meet monthly in homes to share, discuss various topics, consider a Biblical teaching, and to support each other. These groups provide the fellowship and spiritual encouragement needed on an ongoing basis. Contact Justin Koenen or Donna Anderson for meeting dates and times!
SEASONED SENIORS: A brand new group entitled “Seasoned Seniors” will be launching to replace our former Primetimers’ group! Jack & Shirley Geist and Gene & Darlene Spears are assuming leadership for this new group which will meet at 9:30 AM (note time change) the first Wednesday of each month beginning in May. Please plan to join together on May 1 as Waterloo Mayor Buck Clark will be our special guest speaker. We’ll meet at the “high rise” of Friendship Village (on 9th Street across from Covenant Hospital) for a delicious breakfast buffet for just $6.00 per person. Please use entrance “A” and proceed to the cafeteria straight ahead. Our room will be off to the side. Mark your calendar today and plan to join us for friendship, learning, and inspiration.
